Tonight is game 7. No matter what craziness went on Saturday, were all back to watch tonight.

I know that it's going to be nerve-wracking tonight. I know that if you're a Leaf fan you've probably got 0% confidence because we've done this a million times. But do yourselves a favor and enjoy your day. 

I'm posting this 12 hours before puck drop. Make the most of those 12 hours. Have a nice lunch if you can, spend time with family and loved ones, don't worry about the game because we've got to understand that life will go on after tonight, whether the Leafs win or lose.

Good luck to both teams and enjoy the game!

    GO LEAFS! Put on your rally cap. Turn your jersey inside out. Grow a beard between now and game time. If you have a special dog that's a wish dog, call it over and rub his head and make a wish...

 Game 46: Leafs vs. Jets Simon B The new guy is in! Nick Foligno made his Leafs debut last night. He was acquired just before the trade deadline on April 12th but had to quarantine for a week before joining the team in Winnipeg to make his first start as a Leaf. He was slotted on the top line with Matthews and Marner, which ought to have gotten the Jets’ attention as much as it did mine, for reasons I’ll get to in a moment. An injury to Zach Bogosian (both Zachs on the Leafs are now injured) meant that Rasmus Sandin got the call to play alongside Travis Dermott on the third defensive pairing. Jack Campbell got the start in the net. The Game Back to Foligno:it's unusual for a new player to start on the top line right away. Clearly Sheldon Keefe knows something I don't, because 27 seconds into the game, the Matthews line (with Foligno on it) opened the scoring. A beauty of a stretch pass by Marner sprang Matthews on a break and he sniped a short side on Hellebuyck to make it 1-0.

 Simon B Only this team can have such a drastic turnaround in a few days. We went from fans calling for Sheldon Keefe to be fired to suddenly beating two of the top teams in the league in back-to-back days with travel. Not forgetting that they lost netminder Ilya Samsonov halfway through the matchup against Boston. Now they have the challenge of facing a team that only a few weeks ago, started their west coast road trip misery; the Vegas Golden Knights. Looking at this turnaround through the eyes of a fan is something easy to do. But how do the Leafs see themselves internally?  Game 2: Leafs vs. Sens Simon B It's literally the second game of the season and this team has already found a way to infuriate its entire fan base. The Leafs lost 3-2 to the Ottawa Senators in what was the Sens season opener last night, and they did it in a way that makes me feel like they didn't come to play. Sure, Ottawa is playing their first game of the season and the Leafs are on the second half of a back-to-back, but it's the Senators for crying out loud! Not only that, but their best player and, in my opinion, the future captain was in the stands waving to the crowd after signing his contract extension hours earlier. This entire game felt like the Leafs were possessed by some sort of evil dark-magic force that was preventing them from doing anything all while giving Ottawa almost every single lucky bounce in the world (except for that time they hit the post).
